Tokyo, Oct 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Burger King has released a huge seven-patty Whopper to mark the release of Microsoft’s Windows 7. In a bizarre cross-promotional campaign move, Microsoft linked up with the fast-food chain to create the ‘Windows 7 Whopper’, which has record 7 patties in it.
The fatty burger has more than 2500 calories, is around 5.1 inches tall and costs just 777 yen, which is not a surprise, considering that it’s meant to promote Windows 7. It went on sale in various Burger King outlets in Japan on Friday to coincide with the release of the new operating system, Microsoft’s Windows 7.
Microsoft’s promotional department went out of their way to promote the Windows 7. Other Microsoft’s promotional events included giving away free copies of Windows 7 to every resident of the Dutch village of Zevenhuizen (which means “Seve Houses”). They also painted the town of Sietes (”Seven”) in Spain, in the official Windows colors. And of course, Burger King’s humongous, 7-patty Whoppers at Japanese Burger King outlets for 777 yen each for just 7 days.
